The bill

The statement from a delivery app arrives. The week was busy. Near the top, one line takes a percentage of every order, and not one of those guests left the restaurant a name.

An owner on the apps knows that statement. The page below adds up a year of it.

What it costs, in published figures

  • The apps publish a commission of 15 to 30 percent of each delivery order, by plan. One prints plans at 15%, 25% and 30%. Another prints 20%, 25% and 30%. The highest published figure is 30 percent.
  • The percent is taken of the food, before tax.
  • On the restaurant's own site, the restaurant pays the card fee. One processor's published rate is 2.9 percent plus 30 cents a payment. On two of the apps that fee is inside the commission.
  • A courier for the restaurant's own order has a flat published fee. $9.75 within 5 miles on one service, which is $7.00 with tipping on, by its own published discount of $2.75. From $7.99 on another. The owner chooses whether the guest pays it.

Three examples, a year. The sizes, the plans and the orders moved are examples only. No restaurant's statement was seen. Each order is $40 of food, with a 15 percent tip, delivered within 5 miles.

A moved order costs the restaurant $1.84 when the guest pays the courier, and $8.63 when the restaurant does.

What the sum leaves out, said with it every time. A guest who finds the restaurant inside an app still orders there. Nobody can promise a share: the owner sets it. A late or wrong order on their own site is theirs to put right. One of the apps charges card processing on top of its commission, and the sum does not count that. A restaurant that already takes orders on an app's own ordering page for its site pays only card fees on those orders already. The build is a one-time cost, quoted in writing first, and is not in the sum.

What the apps do bring

Say this before the owner does. The apps bring strangers: on one app's own figure, three in ten restaurant orders there come from first-time customers. On one of them the commission covers its drivers and its support desk. So the line is never "leave the apps". It is: keep the apps for strangers, move your regulars.

Each app also sells an ordering page of its own for a restaurant's site, and an order placed there pays card fees only. An owner may already use one. Ask before you work the sum.

What we build for it

Two parts, sold together, because the money moves only if the regulars do.

  • Online Ordering Under Your Name. Guests order on the restaurant's own site, for pickup or delivery. A delivery service on the restaurant's own account carries it.
  • Regulars, Rewards and Your Own List. Accounts, rewards the owner sets, and a list the restaurant keeps, with each person's yes or no.

Both are quoted in writing, and both are built on the $1,500 foundation.

Runs today, or built for you

  • Open now: the page with the sum, guerrillaxaisystems.com/delivery-fees/. An owner taps an example, then types their own numbers.
  • Runs today: an online store with its own cart and checkout, at our co-founder's business.
  • Built for you: the restaurant's own ordering, the delivery service joined to it, the list and the rewards.

Where each figure was read

All on the company's own page, on October 9, 2026. A published price changes without notice. The owner's own statement is the real number.

  • The apps' plans, what the percent is taken of, the courier fees and the first-time customers figure: each company's own page is named, with its address, under Sources on our delivery page, guerrillaxaisystems.com/delivery-fees/.
  • 2.9 percent plus 30 cents for a card paid online: Stripe, stripe.com/pricing.
  • The lower courier fee with tipping on, and the three examples: our arithmetic on those rates. The same sum is on the delivery page.

For owners. If a seller sent you this page, we pay them a commission if you buy. It does not change your price. They cannot quote a price or take a payment. You pay only Guerrilla X, on a written scope.
